About
Your guide to understanding MonkStreet and how it helps long-term investors like YOU.
MonkStreet is an investment analysis platform that helps you find, buy, and hold exceptional businesses over time. Using our proprietary MonkScore® system, we analyze companies on a 0-100 scale to identify truly outstanding businesses from a fundamental point of view. Our systematic approach not only helps you spot excellence but also gives you the confidence to hold these gems when Mr. Market goes bananas.
Our methodology is built on over 300 peer-reviewed academic papers and extensive backtesting. Companies with top MonkScores® have achieved 85.3% returns over three years with a 51.4% probability of beating the market. In comparison, the average stock has only a 30.5% chance of outperforming. We believe in transparency, and our research is built on decades of quantitative investing principles.
MonkStreet is for long-term investors who seek to build wealth by owning great businesses over time. If you are looking for day trading signals, technical analysis, or short-term market timing, MonkStreet is not the right tool for you.

Investment Strategy
Building wealth through systematic investing
This is a very personal question, and while I can't give you personalized investment advice, I'm happy to share my own strategy (I'm Alberto Echevarría, founder of MonkStreet):
- First, I spread my investments across 20+ companies to manage risk through diversification.
- Second, I limit my active contribution to any investment in any single company to 5% of my portfolio. If a position grows beyond 5% through appreciation, that's fine – I let winners run.
- Third, I give my investments time to grow. I hold positions for at least three years, allowing quality businesses to compound their value. After three years, I review them and keep them if their MonkScore is still appealing or replace them with higher MonkScore companies.
- Finally, I invest consistently every two weeks, regardless of market conditions. This dollar-cost averaging approach helps me maintain steady market exposure while avoiding the temptation to time the market.
No. We focus on sustainable, long-term wealth building, not get-rich-quick schemes. Our methodology requires patience and discipline, typically holding stocks for at least three years. While our top-rated companies have historically outperformed, successful investing takes time.
While our platform offers daily MonkScore® updates, research shows that frequent portfolio monitoring can trigger emotional decisions that harm returns. The most successful MonkStreet investors are those who stick to the system rather than reacting to short-term market movements. We recommend:
- Review your portfolio monthly to stay informed
- Focus on our three-year minimum holding period to capture full value potential
